At the Iberos Project we continue working hard and we are proud to announce that ISEP’s BioMark group, led by Goreti Sales, has a new device to detect tumor biomarkers at an early stage disease simply using a drop of blood, urine or saliva.

BioMark innovating in the water research field

The Porto Water Innovation Week is about innovation around water and brought together more than 900 participants from the most diverse areas of knowledge. And as it comes to innovation, the startups were special guests, with a competition among 16 finalists from 28 international applications.

BioMark works in new devices for cancer early diagnosis

BioMark Sensor Research, an ISEP research group, is currently working on two new research projects related to the detection of cancer. CANCER and RAMSERS aim, with different devices, at the early diagnosis of various types of cancer.

BioMark finalist at the SPLASH Innovation Stage startup competition

The jury has reviewed all applications and selected the 16 finalists, including BioMark, that will be pitching their projects at the SPLASH Innovation Stage competition. More information here.

Device for tuberculosis activation detection being developed at Porto

A portable device capable of detecting the risk of a person infected with tuberculosis going from the latency phase to the active phase of the disease is being developed by researchers from Porto.

BioMark/ISEP hosts 7th GSS MIP

Biomark welcomed the 2017 Graduate Student Symposium on Molecular Imprinting, the seventh of this kind, which this year was organized at ISEP, Porto (8-9 June). More than 40 PhD students were present from all over Europe including, this year, students from Japan and Russia! Prof. Ian Nicholls from University of Linnaeus (Sweden) and Prof. Manuel Azenha from University of Porto (Portugal) were our guests for the Plenary lectures.
