Researchers from Porto create device that detects cancer through blood droplet

Researchers from the Instituto Superior de Engenharia do Porto (ISEP) are developing two devices “autonomous and cheap” that will allow early detection of cancer through a sample of a drop of blood .
According to Goreti Sales and Lucia Brandão, responsible for the projects, the goal is to create easy handling devices similar to those used for reading glucose in people with diabetes, but that only need the glucose strip and need not the box for electric measurement. (…)
